The Forgotten War M47 Patton by shank117 The Forgotten War M47 Patton by shank117
i just drew a m47 patton tank and put a korean scene around it pen and ink and called it the forgotten war and a little known fact that shows people dont know the true way the war in the middle east is going because of media bs. in the first two months of the korean war more american soldiers lives where lost than the gulf war and the wars going on now .... enough political.... ssooo i drew this kick ass m47 patton please comment as always (please dont comment on political things that are happening now im a conservative and im stuborn and i wont listen anyway..)

This is an awesome picture.

To be honest, the Korean War is a forgotten war, but, It's not forgotten to me. God bless all who have died in all warfare.

Nice image, the use of bold black marker shading works really well next to the line work and cross hatching.

A wonderful drawing, but the M47 wasn't used in Korea; the M26 and M46 were. In fact the M47 never saw battle in American service.

Oh man i love this and also love how your shedding light on the Korean War because it truly was for a few divisions of Marines and Regular army a fight to the death especially at the Pusan perimeter in early 1950. Great work once again actually i dont think great sums it up well enough maybe this will [link] that is the level of awesomeness of this piece. :)

It has very, very strange gun. I'd say too thin. Rest is just plain awesomness.

thats the 90mm gun if you play wot it is the first gun you have for the patton this is the early variant of the patton tank

I know. On that image, it is... way too small. It'đ like Patton with 57mm gun, not 90. Add some mass to it. It is issue on all your pictures. You draw all those hardcore parts as tracks, suspenssion and hull perfectly (and I mean perfectly!!! I could never do it half as good as you), but gun seems somehow inaproppriate. Small. Weak...

My grandfather was an AF mechanic in Alaska during the Korean War. He said that when the radar dish swiveled towards him, he could feel the heat from it. He also died of leukemia in 2008. Ah well, it shows what a poor knowledge of what will kill you can do...

I got to take pictures of a real one XD I felt bad though because some parts of it were rusting, and the tracks were kinda cracking a bit :( Nice pic though, reminded me of another picture from a Korean war book :) Im also faving it.

Love the ink style!

I hear you on the political BS! Spent my year in the Korean War from 2004 to 2005. Most folks also don't realize that every year since 1953 has been nothing but the continued blessing of a Cease Fire, and not the end of a bloody Korean Civil War between the tyranny of Communism and the freedom of a Republic.

Awesome! Great perspective, especially. You've really got the dimensions down pat.

One thing I noticed, though, is the designation. As I understand it, it was the M47. The models were M46, 47, 48, and 60, named for their design years (a deviation from the original policy that resulted in the Pershing being designated the M26).
